I have ready boost and I can't really say it makes a big difference. My programs open a little faster but only by a second or so. If you wanna give your computer a boost then I suggest upgrading your ram to 2gb's. Ram is very cheap now. Check newegg or something like that.

Even 1GB DIMM of RAM for $38 will be better than 2GB ReadyBoost.

I noticed a small difference when I got mine. It was a 4gb sandisk. I will say one thing, for my experince ready boost does seem to help with boot times. I don't know exactly how it does, but when I left it home recently (4gb sandisk) it took about 15 extra seconds to boot up. For 25 bucks it can't hurt, but seriously with ram as cheap as it is I would take the 25 bucks and get the RAM. The first thing I did when I got this lappy was to upgrade the ram, it was ridiculous on 1gb, vista, now its pretty awesome on 2gb's and I did that before the price drop in RAM recently. I paid 230.00 for 2 gb sticks, but it was worth it.

Readyboost - can live without it
RAM - No way could I live without it

Sure why not. Just be sure the flash is ReadyBoost capable, the faster the better. With 1GB RAM you will notice a difference in load times.

You could also spend a little more and get RAM as mentioned.
