i just opened up my old Acer Extensa, 5620. I took out the ram sticks and hard drive (trust me, this old laptop is in no shape.)

i plan on buying the eon 17s (Was planning on the nyx, as some of you MIGHT remember, but i like origins options better) with 8gb 1600 ram, can i use the ram from this old acer on the eon? or am i likely to make the eon curse me out for making it use them? (i know i can use the hard drive, its 200gb but its better than relying on a single 120gb ssd.)

    No.

Acer is DDR2 RAM and the Clevo would be DDR3.
