I already posted my question in the "Sony" part of this forum, but there are zero replies. Probably because this is more hardware related, than software.

I am going to re-post it here, hoping for help.

My poor little M13 got squizeed in the left bottom area, where the SD reader is. As the results, the Lan jack is wasted, the SD slot is wasted and headphones jack was wasted. I fixed the headphones jack, because otherwise, there would be no sound from speakers, but did not bother with SD nor LAN jack. Or right, and the LCD was smashed. Other than that, little fellow was pretty OK.

After fixing headphones jack and changing LCD I put everything together, booted fine, yay, but...now there are some strange issues with power. Sometimes it refuses to boot. It turns on, light is on, but it does not start its boot sequence. I have to turn it off and leave it for 10mins, then its working again.
Second issue with power is the shutdown. It shuts down, but then, instead of staying shut down, it instantly power's on again. So I cannot shut it down properly, even if I go into bios and do the shutdown, it wont, so its not OS related.
I tried unplugging bios battery, tried on battery, without battery, nothing seems to help and I have no idea what's behind this.

    Any ideas?

It could be a couple of things, the LAN connector waking the board up giving the strange rebooting problem? Also a short on one of the damaged connectors?

Its most definitely a short on the damaged components/connectors

Yea, I am thinking the same, some short.

Now there is no other way of finding this out but to remove each component directly off the mobo?

you need to do some real low level fault finding. Get your magnifying glass out. Check all connections on terminals.

Hopefully its not the PCB layers shorting between themselves, If it is then it may need a new motherboard.

So I removed faulty SD/MMC card reader completely off. Fixed sound-out jack and triple checked all connectors around it - no visible damage there.

I did found out interestin thing. When I leave it over night and use it only on battery next day it will boot up and shutdown just fine. But as soon as I plug in DC-in it will not shutdown, but boot again instantly after shutting down.
Any ideas how this things could be connected?

I found out some of the LEDs are smashed. Shall I remove them completely off the mobo or they are not really related to my problem since all they do is "give light"? :)
