    Hi,

I'm installing an upgrade HDD for the first time, and I think I got it all set, but I had a question.

The new HD, a WD Scorpio Blue 5000BVT, has a couple of small circular mylar stickers on it. are these covering the breather holes? Should I remove them before installation?

Sorry for the dumb question, it's the first time I've done this.

Never had to remove a sticker from the 20-30 hard drives i have bought so just leave it alone.

Those stickers cover up screw holes. No you do not need to remove them.

The breather hole will be separate. If you do not see one, some manufacturers put them on the underside of the harddrive (the circuit board side)
