    Pretty sure that CPU is not upgradable, as it it's soldered onto the motherboard.

    Try your luck with A8 5550m, A10 5750m might be too much and the difference is not that big. I think that some HPs had issues with the BIOS though. It would be best to read both the topic you linked and I think there was one for A8 5550m as well from the same user. Since this weekend is almost gone, gear-up for the next one, it would be quite the read :)
