    Hi guys i need help! I own an asus gl 502vm with i7-7700hq and gtx 1060 6gb. I would like to open it up and change the 60hz ips panel with a 120hz panel(tn/ips its the same for me i just want 120hz) can anyone suggest me a compatibile panel? And also, when i ll be done swapping the screens what i will have to do software wise? Sorry guys but i couldnt find anything clear on internet, thank you for your time

    There's threads like these with similar mods being done to similar laptops.

    Basically if your chassis at the time was sold with a similar variant that had a 120Hz panel in it (how similar is the GL 502 VS?) - maybe in a different country - your odds are pretty good, just identify the panel model and any other requirements (perhaps an upgraded display cable) and buy them. I don't know if Asus service/workshop/repair manuals are around but if you can't find anyone who's successfully done the swap you intend to, they are the next best source of info.

    And as the OP in the above linked thread proved; uninstall your geforce drivers before you do the swap...

    Thank you for your reply! Then i will try to identify the panels of the gl502vs or the news gl 503 and try to find out if they are compatible
