    Based on what you're saying I'd suspect it's just electrical noise from power filtering going on. I don't know what power supply rating or polarity your psu/brick has but if there are other reputable, compatible bricks (same voltage, polarity, reasonably close amperage, and obviously will take your plug) you can try them and it might attenuate your issue.
