What exactly is it? Just high clocked RAM?

Umm, does "plug and play" mean that the RAM hot-swappable, in the sense that a mouse or an external monitor is?

I would imagine any machine that is low enough on the tech scale to be using integrated graphics is also going to have a locked bios where you can not configure RAM speed.

Unfortunately with laptops most often it seems if you do not have the ability to manually set the RAM speed in bios it will default faster ram to a slower speed making paying more for faster ram totally pointless.

Even if you can run the RAM at a faster speed you will not notice any difference in performance vs the same amount of ram at a lower speed.

I guess Kingston company wants to say that when you PLUG this RAM some strange power will force you to PLAY hardcore games on your laptop which suddenly became capable to deal with them :D

Uhh, what else did you expect from memory? Have additional processor inside? It has 11CL timings using 1866 Mhz which is impressive however still I don't get it how it may be used (more detailed lower).

I suspect that integrated GPU is integrated into I7 processor not into a motherboard.

    NOW ABOUT THIS RAM:
    1. I still do not get how it can be used if even Extreme i7 processors of 2-nd gen are only 1600 Mhz bus?! I mean if it has better timings for 1600 it is OK but does 1866 Mhz can be used by new i7 CPUs?
    2. About 10 hrs ago I tried to search smth about this new RAM on official Kingston site. What did I found? That is interesting.
On ENGLISH (or usa) kingston page I found no new SODimms at all! The fastest onу was 1333/1600 Mhz RAM we all saw before. Schedule of SoDimm RAM sticks available on Kingston URL
Even more interesting was that on RUSSIA kingston site which looks the same except language of text I DID found new 4GB SODimm Kit RAM 1866 Mhz. But it somewhy had 9CL timings on 1866 Mhz and I even downloaded technical sheet. Also it's serial number was KHX1866 C9S3K2/4GX That c9 means 9CL timings. Schedule of SoDimm RAM sticks available on Kingston RUSSIA URL.
This is a link of downloaded PDF data sheet However I believe that if there were instructions how to use toilet paper written on pdf it would take more pages than this official kingston data sheet has. I would call it Official MINI data sheet on memory stick because I do not see any schedule of what timings would this stick use on different JEDEC standards by default.

Now about that review of Kingston RAM I posted link above:
I will write about that marketing crap little bit later

Yeah I did. Actually they also said "We were a little shocked to find our ASUS K53E notebook that came with 6GB of DDR3 memory shipped in a 2GB + 4GB configuration and both modules were made by different brands and were different colored. Not the prettiest of memory installations." like they are 9 years old girls who becomes shocked of everything and who doesn't know that there are no 2x3GB kits of notebook RAM. And after that they provided a CPU-z screenshots which means that they already knew about different brands of RAM etc.

I actually had a feeling reading all that that it is this guy talked to me about how good new HyperX memory is. I am not even sure they told true.

He was saying that the sticks are unmatched in chip density and brand which is not optimal, of course it does not really make a difference.

Well actually if laptop ever use that hyper 1866 speed (even ivy bridge will not use it at least such information is now), it will be lil bit faster. Check it: 11/1866*1000=5.895 which is not so bad. While usual RAM has 9/1333*1000=6.751. I believe using HyperX 1600 is the best because I do not believe that 1866 is usable: 9/1600*1000=5.625 ns.

Actually I think that density will match because otherwise I think it would not work in flex mode. And yeah I understand what he was saying but still if he makes GOOD and TRUSTED preview he must be fair. If he ever before changed RAM stick in laptop (I believe that he did) he would never be surprised of that thing.
Also if he ever made another comparison before he would never compare 6GB vs 8GB comparing speed or timings! I was LMAO when he compared bandwidth. How could he do that if 8GB works in DUAL channel while 6GB will ALWAYS works IN FLEX mode??! Sorry for Caps Lock.
