Is there a difference between using this program (Notebook Hardware Control http://www.pbus-167.com/chc.htm ) and the ones mentioned in the guide for purposes of undervolting?

I haven't ever tried NHC (I think you have to pay for the software?) but I've never had any problems with RMClock (until now, but I seem to be an exception). I think I read before that RMClock hasn't been updated in a while, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

NHC is for all around power management for your laptop; there are settings for CPU voltage, display brightness, HD spindown times as well as acoustic hard disk settings. However, NHC is a pretty bloated program in addition to being restricted to Intel-based systems.
RMClock is restricted to detail-oriented CPU power management for both AMD and Intel systems. -
Thanks so much for the responses. Looks like they are working on an AMD supported version. Also, it only supports 32 bit Vista as well. Thanks again.

They've been working on an AMD version for years now... I wouldn't be too optimistic about when that'll be released.
NHC v RMClock etc for Undervolting
