A few questions regarding the Sager NP8760. Just recently purchased one after my 8660 died a little while ago due to a... drinking problem...
Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the fans in the 8760 with any more efficient/quieter fans?
Also, does anyone know if the 5870 GPU is user-upgradeable?
Last, if I wanted to add an SSD to my 7200 rpm HDD, should I do a full re-install onto the SSD of Windows? Can I engage Raid 0 without having matched HDDs?

    thanks!

    1. You cannot change the fans. if u want quiter fans , get a Asus G73 instead.. the fans will be super quiet but the notebook will run warmer.. the good thing about Sager is although the fans are more noiser than average , they keep the notebook cool.

    2. The GPU can be upgraded later on if anything better comes out.. for now , the 5870 is the best card.

    3. Yes , u should do a reinstall on SSD... a clean install is a good way to start and no u cannot use RAID 0 with 2 different hard drives and u cannot RAID the SSD+ HDD... u need either 2 similar SSD's or 2 Similar HDD's.. but with an SSD , u don't need RAID 0...
