Whenever i try installing NVDIA system tools , i get an error after each component is installed saying NVDIA Enusiast Drivers cannot start. Reboot required.. After the reboot, the system update and the system montior work but the performance part refuses to show up in the NVDIA Control Pannel... I've tried clean driver installs and wiped all traces of old drivers but i still have the same problem. Plz Help.. and thanks.

ok this is like the third thread i've seen you make on the same issue, if have new info just edit your original thread and bump it, dont keep making new threads

try using microsoft uninstall clean up

    uninstall your nvidia system tools
    then run this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
and selected nvidia system tools and delete it
    then reinstall

nVidia System Tools is junk. I tried to put it on my desktop which actually has a nVidia chipset and a GTX260. It froze while installing. Upon restart, the system wouldn't boot into Windows. I got mad, went into safemode, and deleted everything nVidia. If you're thinking about OCing the 9600M GT, try Rivatuner.

Strange, Nvidia System Tools work fine for me, and OC-ing GPU with it is very easy.

I had the same problem with reinstalling Nvidia system tools because it did not uninstall properly in programs and feature in control panel. I tried Microsoft uninstall cleanup and it didn't work. The next recommendation on Microsofts list was to use the CCleaner uninstaller and that worked to remove Nvidia system tools so that I could reinstall it.
