I have a Sager NP9150 with a 680M. When I go into my NVidia control panel, I do not see the configure displays tab at all. I am trying to do some multi-monitor stuff, specifically for 2d surround. Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

It's because of Nvidia Optimus. All of your settings should be in the Intel Graphics Control Panel :p

Is there a way to disable optimus temporarily? I like it when I use my computer for school, but I would like to have that control over the displays when I want.

Optimus can't be disabled. The laptop was designed that way; the Nvidia GPU video output goes through the Intel HD GPU (muxless design). You would have to use the Intel graphics control panel if you want to manage your displays.

Uninstall the Intel AND Nvidia drivers and then just reinstall the Nvidia one without Intel

How would I do that, if nothing would be controlling the screen?

You can't install the Nvidia drivers by itself. The display is connected only to the Intel HD GPU (and the Nvidia card outputs to the Intel HD GPU). You'd need the Intel drivers to be installed first, and then you can install Nvidia drivers.

You have to manage display/monitor settings using the Intel control panel; you would only be able to manage power/graphics/etc settings in the Nvidia GPU (since it's not actually directly connected to your monitor).
