Pentium/Celeron M use a different socket. It is not possible to upgrade to C2D.

Yours is a Celeron M4x0 series, his is a Celeron M 3x0 series. The 4x0 series is Socket M, but the 3x0 series uses Socket 479 used for the Pentium M chips.

The best thing you can upgrade to is a Pentium M 765.

    The T2400 uses Socket M.

This socket business is confusing as crap. Like 478, 479, M and P all have 478 pins but the "dead" pins on the socket vary in location. And it doesn't help that Intel names all their Celerons... Celerons.
