As the thread title says, will an FHD laptop screen at 1920x1080 when downscaled to HD 1366X768 in games, be able to match the image quality of a native 1366x768 screen?

From what I have understood from vague posts around the net, downscaling the FHD to HD WILL cause some blurring when gaming, while the HD won't have a problem because 1366x768 will actually be its native resolution.

Basically, will downscaling an FHD screen to something below it's native resolution result in blurring and image quality loss when playing games?

    Thank you very much.

Playing the game at native resolution will always look better but most 1366x768 panels look terrible. :(

As long as you can use anti aliasing, it should look ok.

It might result in some blurring.
But I only noticed this effect in the icons area and where the text is.
General image of the gameplay though, not so much.

Either way, the effect is not really something to worry about. Its relatively slight (you can still easily read the text, icons, and do pretty much everything).

But I would recommend you use a native resolution.

If it's scaling to a non-factor of two it'll look rather blurry. I prefer native resolution in every notebook I've seen.
