Has anyone tried either of these products?

    LaptopTablet
    http://www.navisis.com/ENGLISH/03_pro/pro03.php?tmenu=03

    EZ-Canvas
    http://www.navisis.com/ENGLISH/03_pro/pro04.php?tmenu=03

Made by the Korean company Navisis.
They look very interesting, but I'm not sure that either would work on my 15.4" laptop. Not to mention that I'd be terrified of using the LaptopTablet on any laptop, let alone with my TrueLife screen. The EZ-Canvas, from what I can gather, actually has a sort of screen that hangs over your real screen. That wouldn't damage the laptop screen...

Anyways. It's a very interesting idea. I couldn't afford a convertible, but having the functionality would be very, very useful for when I start college full time.

    Anyone? :)

Thanks for the suggestion, Lil Mayz.

It looks interesting, but I've never been overly fond of the tablet-away-from-screen thing. I enjoyed the idea of having the tablet right over the screen, and where I put my pen is where it shows up, you know?

Also, I can't seem to find the Volito being sold here in Canada. I could only find the Wacom Graphire and "Intuos". Ah well, it is a consideration.

Well all I was suggesting is that you'd soon get strain Injury of your wrist if you keep bending it to draw on the screen?

Of course, you bend your laptop screen flat, but that wouldn't do your 6400 much good.

The reason why you couldn't find the Volito on the Americas website is because they sell slightly different models, in the link above.

Future Shop are a licenced reseller in Canada for Wacom, so you should be able to buy from them with confidence.

Ah, I probably would get injury from doing that all the time. One of the "Ahhh, *sigh*" 's of not being able to get a convertible laptop. But I'm not intending to use the tablet function for any kind of art. It would mostly get use for the occasional note that had to be hand-entered, or a diagram from class. The reason I bought a laptop in the first place is because I can't hand-write very well, and it cramps up my hand very quicktly, but I am an excellent typist. So it's a good way to take and manage my notes for the next 3 years. The tablet part would only be used occasionally, as I said, for a diagram or if a note was difficult to enter with the keyboard.

As I said, I could only find here the Wacom Graphire and Intuos. BestBuy had the graphire, and FutureShop had both. The graphire runs about $100 Canadian, but the Intuous goes about $500. So from that selection, only the graphire sounds at all feasable. I can get by without tablet function, it'd just make life easier and more fun. $500 is a little out of my price range, unfortunately. :( That's why the Navisis sounded nice, coming in at $150.

Thanks for the tips though, hon. :)

No problem, feel free to leave me a Rep point :)

Maybe you should just go for the Navisis, it seems to be far better value.

would i snap my Dell XPS M1330s LED Screen if i used this product? That seems to be the only drawback for me...not to mention the fact my hand might fall off..

Don't buy it, I have one:-(... It's really bad, it works by infared or whatever so it messes up REALLY bad, it jig jags your writing toward the end of the screen (close to the transmitter it works okay), my screen is 15.4, it wasn't uncomfortable using it and it doesn't scratch the screen because of the screen protector, but it doesn't work! It messes up way too much, I just wanted to warn you guys!!!:'-(
