    Hi.
I bought an Alienware M17-R1 before Sept 2009, but I believe it was in 2009. It says on the bottom that it is an Alienware Corp M17-R1. I need a BIOS update so I can add a new solid state hard drive. Can anyone tell me where I can get a BIOS update for this machine? I have herd that since it says R1 that it is a Dell, but since I bought it before Sept 2009 it is not supposed to be a Dell. I do believe I bought the machine before Alienware was sold to Dell...

    The machine:

    AlienWare laptop M17-R1
    ICES-003
    NMB-003
    Class B

    The BIOS:
    Phoenix SecureCore
    BIOS Version: W841.B10
    KBC Version 130D

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @ 2530 MHZ with 6144 KB cache.

Note: we have moved a couple of times since I bought the machine, and all papers/discs have been lost. I do not have access to my hive...

If anyone can tell me where I can get a BIOS update for this machine it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
