A friend gave me an HP Pavillion ZV5000 laptop but he couldn't find the power adapter and the battery is dead. I've searched online for power adapter specs but have found conflicting information... even on the HP support site. If someone has a Pavillion ZV5000 could you please tell me the model number and output voltage of your adapter. Is it 120W or 135W?? Thanks

There should be a label on the bottom of the computer giving the required power voltage and current such as 19V, 4.65A (~90W) or 20V, 6.75A (135W).

It is possible that different versions of the notebook have different power requirements but there is no problem with supplying a computer with a PSU with a higher rating than it requires. It will only use the power it needs.
