    Need Help!!!!

    I installed new ram, and when i turned my laptop on it freezes at the blue screen, i.e. xp screen. i dont know what to do, i put my old one's back in and it worked fine, but the new ram doesnt work. freaking out :confused: :confused: !!!! thx for any help :)

    It could just be faulty RAM. Where did you purchase the RAm from and can you ask for an exchnage or refund?

    i picked up ram from ebay, he had perfect rating like 10,000 people bought it from him

    Try using memtest to scan the memory for errors
    http://memtest.org/

    You should run it at least overnight if you can.

    so i just burn it to a cd, put the cd in and start my laptop? and let it run overnight?

    Basically yes... make sure you comp BIOS is setup to boot from cd/dvd first.
