Hi all.. im new in this forum and i hope i do this theard in the correct way...
since 2 days i have trouble with my laptop. I have a ASUS G1.
My problem: Every time i start my laptop it comes the normal ASUS G1 logo with the sound, i see there no graphic problems at all... after this the booting for Vista comes, but the background has some strange white lines going up, it takes long till it finishes booting, and before it even can show the windows sing to put in my password the screen goes black, i can see the cam light going on, so i guess to booting is finish by then.
What i maybe did wrong: I was trying to get a game working and read in some forums something about the d3dx9-39.dll that i need to replace with a new one, so i did this, and i guess since then my laptop acts like this...
What i did so far: I did a system backup -> still same problem
I installed my dx9 and dx10 new -> still same problem
I dont know what i shall do anymore... :S
At the beginning of the problem it came sometimes a blue screen error, all i can do is getting into my laptop in safe mode and then this window comes up:

Download this file((Vista Recovery Disc) http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,71039/description.html (ISO) burn to a CD, then place in CD/DVD drive and turn on computer, tell to repair boot files (one of the options). Should help fix your fix your boot issue (for vista).
If need an easy to use ISO burner, try CDCC: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/downloads-free-software.htm
Nothing to install, just point to the ISO file and insert a CD.
Hope that helps -
If you use that above disk (i think), or any Vista Disk, Do an automatic repair, if that fails...
See HERE. -
Thanks a lot for helping, i will try this tonight and let you know if it works...

Hi, it didnt work with the 1. repair..
I will try the second one.. but i hv a question... can it be possible that my graphics card is messed up? or would it be solved when i just install vista new?
i ask this question just to know if the problem is really bad... but by my safe mode works with no problems.. just on low solutions.. -.-
