    I dont think the number of chips on each side matters. Any SoDimm DDR2 ram should work.

    I read in a thread that many people are facing problems due to differences in dencity (hi vs low) - i don't know is this has to do with the chip number. Also i see a factor 128x8 and to some others 128x64 while the cheap dismms usually state 64x8... I am confused

    I'm not sure about the number of banks or chips on the memory, but you should really sick to a reputable brand name.

    Skibums is correct. Just stay with a reputable manufacturer, and they will practically gurentee compatibilty. Some RAM manufacturers to consider would be Corsair, Kingston, Crucial, OCZ and G. Skill.

    Using everest i identified the existing memory as Samsung xxxxxx. So i ordered through ebay the same Samsung xxxxxxx( i cant rememer the code) module for 68$ (1GB). When i will install it i will post my results. Thanks
