    Hey guys,
I have a sony vaio vgn txn27n. Accidently i dropped the notebook and the lcd cracked. Since its a physical damage the warranty does not cover it so i have been searching for lcd on ebay. I am not sure if i can replace the txn27n screen with the tx650. They both are 11.1 WXGA LED Screen. So would the tx lcd fit in the txn. Please help me out. It will be highly appreciated.

    thanks

I'm sorry you haven't received many responses. This isn't your everyday hardware question you know. ;)

At any rate, find out of Sony changed screens between the TX you have and the TX650. I would guess no and that they are compatible. However that's only an educated guess.

Here's an LCD that will work with yours.

I am not sure if the ones from the older models will work, I wish I had detailed info about the innards of each revision. At least according to some places that sell the LCD, they say they will work for the older and newer models and even with the new TZ model.

    I've seen multiple part numbers,

    LTD111EXCA
    LTD111EXCX
    LTD111EXCY

    All made by Toshiba Matsu****a.

You may also try going to the Leog.net and Siliconpopculture.com forums for help. I remember seeing at least one thread on each on screen replacements.
