So I'm back checking out my HDTV capabilities again!

There are virtually NO channels available where I live, yet Indianapolis (about 60 miles away from here) has a ton of HDTV channels that are broadcast over the air.

So I'm looking for an antenna that could potentially boost my reception to find those signals 60-100 miles away. I'll setting for putting it outdoors on my porch, but I'd rather have it indoors. Also, the cheaper the better as I'm a little low on cash.

    Any ideas?

It has a 55db gain, which seams to be the best I can find right now...

I should mention that I am partially bias toward RCA right now, as I am currently working for their parent company and might be able to get an employee discount.

I didnt even know hdtv can go thru traditional broadcast thru antena. I was under the impression that due to the bandwidth they require a cable connection, or satalite, or in my case my house uses fiber optic.

    Try these forums for information

Most will tell you that unless you're in a major urban area, amplified indoor antennas aren't much good for capturing over the air Hi-def signals (I have one and it's close to useless unless I have line of site with the broadcasting antenna) and that you are better off with an outdoor antenna mounted high on a mast. If you really want to try an indoor antenna, the Zenith Silver Zephyr seems to be highly regarded.

Sorry buddy, that antenna is not going to cut it. you can always try out dish network or direct tv for a month and return if you just want to "test" your tv.

Since its Best Buys, you could buy it to try and return it if it doesn't help at all.

Although since you mentioned that you are around 60 miles from Indianapolis the indoor may not help like others have mentioned. Generally at that range, its best to go with an outdoor antenna.

The two forums that chemistry mentioned should be good to check out. I frequent avsforum and they have a good amount of information regarding over the air hdtv.
