    hi,

I'm looking for a gaming headset preferrably under 50, my one I have now is cheap and the cord recently just started breaking all over the place so it's a patchwork mess. I need a durable cord! I'm hoping that the cords on the more expensive brands are also higher quality cause I'll have to store it a lot. Can someone confirm this?

    Thanks!

I seem to be in the same boat. I do a moderate amount of gaming and I want to graduate from my Dragon Speaking 4 mic. I have looked at the standardLogitech USB gaming series and have heard good reviews. The thing I have seen is that for people with larger heads (I think this includes me) that it can be tight. Does anyone have any xp with these? I currently use earbuds and I am dying...

I forgot to mention this is for my laptop so portability would be nice, plus a built in microphone but I guess gaming probably covers that.

I went to Best BUy and got the Premium Logitech Headset. It works very well for CS as well as speech recognition in Vista. It isnt too comfortable or too responsive on highs/lows, but it gets the job done. I have the analog version as BB didnt have a USB version.

I was hoping to get one but I did not have enough gift cards, I try not to shop at BB as much as possible.

I'm not sure if the model number is still the same but I have the Logitech 350 USB headset is nice and durable. The sound is very nice without spending a fortune.

Microsoft LX3000 is pretty good. It's a bit large, but comfy and sounds great. It goes on sale often, I got mines for $19.

Guys guys guys... Razer headsets are damn expensive... even the piranha is too expensive for normal gamers..

I would suggest going for this: Logitech Precision Headset
