    Need advice on OEM batteries

    Hey All, Could anyone give me their favorite sites to buy OEM batteries? I have an aging Thinkpad T42 that came with the standard 6 cell battery. I would like to purchase a 9 cell battery, but my first attempt to do so was with a place called Batteries, Inc. They sent me a 6 cell for the price of a 9 cell, so they are off the list. Before I go through a long learning curve, I was hoping maybe one of you sages might have had experience in this area, and might be willing to share the knowledge.

    ebay. just make sure to get a real one and not a cheap knockoff.

    I think you should check ebay. Look for seller that sell new battery on ebay.

    I bought mine from CDW. I probably could have found it cheaper, but I know CDW is reliable and I get what I order and what I pay for.

    e bay seller are also reliable. Look for the feedback and item location.

    If the location of the item is outside US, exersise caution.
