    Hi,

I have an old Fujitsu Lifebook, and I have this on-going problem with the fan inside the computer. Basically, if I apply too much pressure under the laptop, or press the keys too hard, I will get a blue screen with some warning about NMI channel check (its some parity error). I am fairly sure its some kind of short circuit of some kind between the fan of my computer and another part. I have had my computer repaired in the past, and the fan has been replaced, but the problem persists. I was thinking of opening up the laptop and putting some insulation around the fan (not the venting part though). What is the best to use as insulation? Can I just use standard black electrical tape?

    Thanks
