Can anyone advice me whether the ram (see link below) is compatible with my aspire 1691wlmi?

I already have 2 x 250 MB DDR ram pc2700 sodim. I want to replace one of the 250 mb with 1 GB.
Thank you very much in advance

The Aspire 1691wlmi might use DDR2 memory, you can check this by just looking at the label on your existing RAM or let a software like CPU-Z( www.cpuid.org) determine the type of RAM.
If it is DDR2, then the type of RAM you selected will not work, if it is DDR then it will work but at PC2700 speeds. -
Thanks Miner. I already checked using CPUID. The ram is PC2700 DDR-SDRAM not DDR2. Actually I want to choose between DDR PC3200

or
DDR PC2700

The PC3200 might be a good option, if you pair it with your existing RAM it will work at PC2700 speeds but if you use it as a stand alone then you might be able to get it working at PC3200.

Thanks again Miner for the advice. I think I will go for PC3200. If I have enough saving, I will also buy another 1 GB. I still have a concern of compatibility of the ram with acer aspire. Any thought would be appreciated.

Kind of late. See below link from ACER for 1691 WLMi:

It uses DDR2 not DDR!
Need advice on upgrading ram (aspire 1691wlmi)
