Here are the customization. Those highlighted are current selection, but I'm not sure whether the upgrading is worthwhile.
I wish to buy W530 for my graduate study. Usually for computer programming and some games.

    CPU:
Intel Core i7-3720QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.60 GHz)
Intel Core i7-3820QM Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.70 GHz) [add $200.00]

    GPU:
NVIDIA Quadro K1000M Graphics with 2GB DDR3 Memory
NVIDIA Quadro K2000M Graphics with 2GB DDR3 Memory [add $250.00]

    RAM:

    4 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (1 DIMM)

    6 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (2 DIMM) [add $40.00]

    8 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (2 DIMM)[add $80.00]

    Integrated WiFi wireless LAN adapters:
    ThinkPad 1x1 b/g/n
    Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 AGN [add $20.00]
    Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN [add $40.00]

    Optical device:
    DVD Recordable
    2nd 500GB HDD, 7200rpm with Bay Adapter [add $110.00]

I know this laptop is mainly used for working, since it's a workstation and I mainly use it for project with my professor, but I wanna play Skyrim, and Resident Evil 6, Crysis 3 in the future. Is the GPU, CPU and RAM OK for the medium graphic quality? (min FPS>30) Should the RAM be upgraded? Can I buy RAM elsewhere and insert into W530?

The Integrated WiFi wireless LAN adapters and Optical device worthwhile to upgrade?

By the way, I found lenovo offers special rates for student, can I buy W530 from Barnes and Noble Exclusive Offer?
The thanks giving day is coming, is there any eCoupon better than this?

If I were you I would go for the 1080p screen upgrade and Quadro K2000M (will really help if you want to game). The processor isn't very important, even the slowest quad-core i7 is very powerful and there isn't a huge performance difference between it and the upgrades. RAM you can buy anywhere, cheap. I personally prefer Intel-branded wireless cards but the Thinkpad-branded card is probably reasonable enough.

Thanks for the advices. I also wonder upgrade the display type and GPU. Do you know is there any cheaper way to buy this laptop than Barnes and Noble Gold | Lenovo | (US)?

Haggle with Lenovo over the phone. I called in and got them to apply the B+N discount, email promotion discoun (even though I didn't qualify), and a few extra percent to get about 24% off my W520.

As Quix said, I'd only bother upgrading the display and GPU. The i7-3820QM is a waste of money in my opinion.
