I'm looking to buy an HP HDX. In customization, it gives me an option of 3 RAM choices. The last choice - most RAM is

    "4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)"

    And the price is +$300

Would it be a better decision to buy the RAM on my own and put it in myself? If so, I've searched around online but was unable to find exactly that listed.

If you think it's a good idea to do it myself seperately, can someone help me find the right RAM to buy?

    Thank you!

buy the ram on your own. newegg.com sells cheap ram i think

Also, download RM clock memory analyzer. google it. it tells you what type of ram you have.
