    Need help finding a part for my Vaio Z690

    I had a ribbon cable in my laptop get frayed, mostly not my fault but I should have been more careful I suppose. The part number is 1-877-129-11 from a Sony Vaio Z690. All the places I've found are charging $100+, which seems a bit excessive. Taking my chances that maybe someone could help find a better deal somewhere or at least point me in the right direction.

    Have you tried Ebay? Maybe find someone who is parting out that exact model Sony and purchase the LVDS cable from them.

    Ebay only has like 1 or 2 for sale and are charging the same as store.
