Okay for the first netbook I need a 1GB stick for my Acer Aspire One (ps - how do I update the bios after I install the stick?)

And my dads laptop Toshiba Satellite A105, I want to order them from the same place so I can save on shipping.

    Thanks :D

For the One, any Gb stick of PC2-5300 (DDR2) spec ram will work. I used a Kingston stick that I got from Amazon for 12 dollars. No BIOS update will be necessary. It will detect it automatically. Good luck. You do know ow to take it apart, right? Is a little more complicated than a normal lappie.
