A couple months ago I made a bad flash and now it can't be recognized anymore by the BIOS. However, green light still shows on the dvd writer. I heard you can actually force a flash to the drive as long as it's connected and powered. I'll be booting off my usb flash drive (with MS DOS). I have a couple questions. Does anyone know what are the commands to flash the firmware (DE04.bin) to the drive? What utility (Mtkflash or sfdnwin)? And what port (primary master, secondary master, slave, etc), how do I tell?
