    Hi,

I have just received an IBM Thinkpad R40e that has no hard disk so I am looking for one. I would just like to know what I should look for. Is it correct that it should be a 2.5"? And that the interface should be either ATA-100 or ATA-133 (what is the difference)?
Can anybody recommend a specific brand or model in the lower price range and with a capacity of 40-60GB?

    Thanks in advance :) .

    Thanks for replying.

I just want to make sure: As longs as the hard disk I choose is either ATA100 or ATA133 and 2.5", it will fit the R40e?

Yes, as long its ATA100 or ATA133.

Do not get SATA or ATA150.
