    Hi everyone,

I recently received a new laptop that I ordered from R&J Tech. I have found one problem with the laptop so far, and that is when there is a faint buzzing/clicking noise during games which use my Geforce video card.

My laptop has an nVidia GTX 670M video card with also an Intel integrated one, so it swaps back and forth. I'll use League of Legends or Batman: Arkham City for examples.

When I load up those games, there is a buzzing in the background; you can barely hear it when there is music and sound effects going, but it's more noticeable when the game is paused or it's more quiet.

When the game is running, but I tab out back to the desktop, the buzzing stops.

The buzzing does not exist when I force my laptop to use the Intel card when I run the games.

The buzzing does not exist when I remove my AC adapter, but it comes back immediately when I plug it back in. My AC adapter is huge and pulls 120W.

So with this I have narrowed it down to it either being a problem with the AC adapter when there is a huge surge of energy which is needed for gaming, or it is my nVidia GPU. I have read stories of coil whining, which could probably be what I am experiencing.

I am really in the dark as to where the problem lies, or if the problem is one that needs to be fixed before it shortens the lifespan of my notebook. I was wondering if anyone with more knowledge could help me troubleshoot this problem before I send it back for an exchange.

Thank you very much for your time,

    EDIT: The model is a Clevo P151EM with i7 3610QM @ 2.3 ghz

Did you contact their support? Since this is a new computer taking it apart will void your warranty. So contact them first about the problem since it is still under warranty.
