I am running a dual core T2300 on an Inspiron E1705 and even though I installed the Windows Hot Fix found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=60416

Still my Team Fortress 2 and WoW run with only one of the cores. If I turn affinity off the first it will run off the second but it will not run off them both, which is crippling my performance in Team Fortress. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Its because those games are single threaded-meaning they are programmed for one core only. Most newer games are multithreaded(use both cores while running).

Well TF2 is a pretty new game, seeing as how it came out a couple weeks ago...and I don't think "most" new games are multi threaded. In the future yes, but right now the majority are still single.
