So I was foolish enough to disassemble my asus f8sn laptop and wound up with some major issues. The camera, part of the keyboard, and wireless antennas got messed up (and fixed!) but most importantly the monitor would not light up. While desperately probing around for an answer I found that by short circuiting 2 connections in the inverter the monitor worked ok but only at the max brightness which is killing my battery time... What a mess I made, I also lost about 10 screws :(

Anyway the monitor worked fine for quite some time but after poking around some more trying to get adjustable brightness the inverter stopped working. So I ordered the new inverter and it works "better" than the old broken one did, it lights the monitor for a little longer but still just cuts out after a second or two, and I can short circuit it in the same way to keep it stable. But before I put some solder on the new board I am wondering could it be a problem with the backlight or anything else? Here is a picture of my new inverter installed, and the fix I applied to the old one
