    Hello,

    So I just got a WD black ( model number WD500BEKT-60KA9T0 ) 500GB 7.2k to upgrade my T61P HD ( Hitachi 100 GB )

    My BIOS 2.12
    CPU T9300
    3 GB RAM
    100 GB Hitachi SATA
    WinXP Pro

    - I used Acronis True Image 2010 to clone my Hitachi to the 500GB WD on the USB dock.
    - Switch HDD
    - Restart and only got a cursor flashing at the top left corner...

BIOS saw the HDD and running HD DX program from the BIOS : Pass: Controller Diag.
Status seems to stay at 0% for a long time and did not seem to move up at all.

So now I got stuck: Do I miss anything?

    Thank you very much.

Just leave it alone? Sometimes Acronis will freeze up on you if your computer is slow. Do realize it is cloning the drive..

The cloning is done. I got all the data/partition on the new 500 GB.
Just when I put the new drive in, it just did not boot up.
    Thanks
