will be mostly used for storing music and photosmy primary hard drive isn't big enough to hold everything I need. And I have 2 externals that have about 10GB of free space each left.

For the money, it is better to go with a 5K320 or a 7K320. Both drives are less than $100, so they should fit well in budget.
The 5K320 is the quietest 320gb 5400rpm drive, and the 7K320 is I think the quietest of all of the 320gb 7200rpm drives.

If you're not worried about battery life and a little bit of heat go with the WD.
If you do care about maximizing battery life and keeping things as cool as possible: 5K320. -
