    Hi,

I'm looking for info (specs, user opinions, reviews [I find anandtech very helpful] and what notebooks they have been used in) on a few displays. I have an L502x with the 1366x768 and it's pretty bad. Viewing angles are awful and the contrast ratio is not nice at all (anything with dark scenes is a dark block).

Ideally I'd like a B156HW01 V.4 or V.7 but finding one at a decent price with a reasonable warranty (0 dead pixel warranty) is not working out well.

Alternatives I have found are: LP156WF1(TL)(C1) (I believe this is an LG panel) and LTN156HT02-B01 (I believe this is a samsung panel).

I could also probably live with 900p displays if they were really good. For those I have found the: LP156WD1(TL)(A2) and LP156WD1(TL)(A2).

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to fit a new display into an old laptop that it didn't originally support?

I did some research and these displays should be supported (if not the site I'm looking at has a decent return policy).

But I need some info on the screens to determine if they'll actually be an upgrade and if so which ones are best.
