I ordered my laptop a couple of days ago, I customized it with only 256MB(so I can upgrade later and cheaper). I was wondering, would it be good to add a stick of 512MB, or add another stick of 256MB?ALSO which barnds are good? I want to buy from NEWEGG, 1 stick of 256 or 1 stick of 512, UNDER $50 if POSSIBLE. Any newegg links too, thanks.

Any brand with a lifetime warranty should do you fine.

    link: http://www.newegg.com
They have a whole section of notebook RAM.

Well not EVERYONE that makes a stick of 512MB of RAM is good, thats why there are customer reviews, like the Transcend 512MB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM, out of 3 reviews it got a 1 out 5 stars. I NEED A GOOD BRAND THAT WILL WORK RIGHTAWAY. Oh, and I need links like THIS

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141517

    or

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145482

Are any of those any good?

I recommend Kingston, Crucial, or Kingston. Very reliable and trusted brands of memory, can't go wrong.

It isn't that hard to find them on Newegg, please do some stuff yourself.

I also second the ChazMan's recommendation go with any brand that has a good reputation, I bought Kingston and have zero complaints, but there were two reasons I chose them.

    1. They are a household name
    2. That is the type of RAM that came with my M60

Good plan on getting it from NewEgg. That is where I got mine, and I have heard that if the RAM is defective, they replace it hassle free.
