Hey guys. I was recently given a Eurocom M375S notebook which needed a new HDD and keyboard. I've installed the new HDD and it's working good, but I'm currently forced to use an external USB keyboard cause the flex cable on the laptops keyboard is shot. I contacted the manufacturer and they can provide a new keyboard for $80 plus shipping, which I don't want to invest in this particular computer. The keyboard is made by Chicony, who I have also contacted, but got no response. The sticker with the part # on the back is kind of worn off, so I only have a partial number. I'll post that number shortly. Does anybody know where I can get either a used replacment keyboard for this model of Eurocom, or is there a compatible keyboard anyone knows about that's a little less expensive than the price I've been given? Thanks!

Checked eBay but haven't come across anything. Tried the Google route too. If I can find something compatible, but not necessarily the exact same model keyboard, I'm hoping I'll have more luck. I actually tried contacting Eurocom again and asked for the part number but they never got back to me. I guess they'd prefer to sell the parts themselves...

Yeah tried that too lol. I Emailed Eurocom twice but they haven't gotten back to me. It's kind of funny because when I wanted to buy the keyboard from them they replied right away... I also contacted Chicony twice to see if they had any info. They didn't respond either... Anyway there are partial numbers on the sticker on the keyboard :

    ---2483U4-4301
    and
    ---M3710-010-1

    Any ideas?

You said they were fast to respond when you wanted to buy. Act interested again but ask them what the part number is. Then you can search ebay for it. I've bought 2 over the years due to kids ripping the keys off.

The best thing to do is to call Eurocom, they are a known company, a reputation, and they'd be more than willing to talk. Sometimes it takes them a couple days to respond to emails. $80 seems a bit expensive, give Eurocom a call.

    First time here....

i pulled off my tab key and then i lost the black rubber peice that touches the sensor.... if i buy a new keyboard is it easy enough to do it myself? I have a M70V series laptop (i love and hate it).. and does it include all the rubbers and everything i need? never done this before and worried... first lappy i baught an instant replacement but it's already non exsistancde because i do not have everything that is original ... though unsure if i need everything original or not or just the lappy... I baught it through memoryexpress with a 2year instant rebate (the tab key was causing me issues and the cannad air wasn't working.. ) but the only thing i have is the random disks and other random stuff it came with it.. don't have 'everything' that it came with .... i baught it in Oct08

THanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate having to manually touch the senor to tab ><
