I currently use WD3200BJKT and it's absolutely DEAD SILENT, which i love it. even when seeking, the noise is very soft and you can barely hear it.

Now, I Need another hard disk for my wife's notebook and thinking to buy Seagate 7200.3 or 7200.4. How is the noise level on this hard disk? WIll it be dead silent like my WD? Feedback please.

If I were you, I would get a WD3200BEKT or a Hitachi 7K320 for your wife's laptop. They are both excellent drives, and do not have the same failure rate the seagates are having.

K-tron's advices are among the best, I gladly support the Hitachi 7K320 option. These drives are of good quality indeed..
