OK well my kids got ahold of my laptop, dropped it, and broke the little hooks or tiny pins that hold the battery in place. So the littlest jerk or movement, will either loosing the battery enough to turn off, or just completly fall out. Does anyone know of some neat little trick to maybe hold this sucker in place so it doesnt fall out. something other than tape of course. I was thinking maybe a piece of velcro inside?

has anyone else ran into this problem before?

Velcro could work but it wouldn't be a snug fit? You can't replace the entire bottom casing? They aren't terribly expensive.

You can go to HP partsurfer and punch in your model part number to get P/N for bottom casing.
