I just ordered a Sony FS790. I am going to install a new hd. I am looking at this 80gb hitachi 7200rpm or this 60gb hitachi 7200rpm. Does anyone suggest using a different brand or know of any place I can get either of those cheaper. I am also planning to buy another 512mb stick of ddr2 ram. I am looking at corsair since its the most compatible. I found a stick on newegg for 50.00. Would it cause any problem running two different brands(brand that came in it and corsair)? My final question is what are some good places to get messenger style bags that have a seperate compartment or divider for the notebook. I have looked at crumpler and Tom Bihn. Thanks.

7200RPM drives are expensive right now. The only other maker right now is Seagate and they are not any cheaper. I would prefer Hitachi since they have been making them much longer.

Running memory from 2 different manufacturers should not cause any problems as long as the specs are good and you dont get any cheap generic brands(which have high failure rates). I would suggest getting the 1GB module. Crucial, Kingston are the other well known notebook memory brands.
