Sorted from the easiest (not necessarily he cheapest) to the hardest.
1. Buy a notebook cooler-pad
2. Clean dust inside your notebook (if any), apply decent thermal paste (e.g AR5) on your notebook's heatsink.
3.Do Undervolting
3. Play the game in north/south pole
4. Don't play the game at all
the latter two are jokes of course
Good luck, you can find plenty of tutorials on this board to do things above. -
"3. Play the game in north/south pole"
nahh, just get inside your fridge to play the game
- but seriously, lift your laptop on stands, like 1/4" off the desk (or wherever it sits on);
- find program to alter the fan speed of the laptop
ah, there's one more - keep a cold beer next to the suction side of the laptop's fan -

Undervolt your CPU or undervolt the GPU via the flashing of a new vBIOS.

I vote for the notebook cooler.. I have my first one.. and I will never not use one again.

Just out of my curiosity, may I ask why?

he should just return the game and remove the gpu and any other part if he wants to have lower temps.dont forget to visit the chop shop to trade in those parts for a super cool laptop.. -

and sorry for the double post..... -
to person who opened the topic:
you didn't make yourself clear in writing this topic.
1-How do you know that your laptop is overheating.Tell us the tempertures.
2-Which surface is the laptop placed?
3-How long have you been using this laptop?Have you ever cleaned it?.
Use hw monitor to look at your tempertures. If they are 90c or more probably your laptop is overheating.
1-Buy laptop cooler. There are guides in this forum.type notebook coolers in search blank.
2-Just search a little in forum.there are many topics that might help you.
3-Undervolt your cpu.If you dont know how ther is a undervolting guide in forum just search.
4-you can apply artic silver to cpu. search which material to apply to your gpu. -

The point being I have fried multiple Video Cards due to heat.. I replaced a screen thinking it was my ruff housing or just being a clutz that made the lines come up and stay up on the screen..

In the winter a blanket or pants would block the vents and in the summer my shorts..
The laptop cooler (Zalman) would have the same issues as any laptop vented from the bottom so I also would like to point out the use of a laptop desk with or without fans..
This one looks cool but I dont own it..

This with a Zalman works fine though..

But back to the point.. I personally Love them becuase the heat is off my Nutz.. and the laptop will last longer minus it over heating becuase of blocking the vents. The one reoccuring concern I see is finding a laptop cooler that does not blow air into where the lapttop fan(s) are trying to blow hot air out of.
IMHO..

Thank you, sir. I appreciate your response. I use a passive cooler so I can use it on my lap as well. My notebook runs cool enough so it doesn't need a laptop cooler at all.

I found this on accident... Chaz.... smacked me around like a red headed step child over some lying old timer here who will remain nameless and on iggy for ever more.. But the good news was I followed Chaz's link for notebookcooling.. http://notebook-cooling.com/ a moderator or old timer with more than a search button... how forward thinking of him.. no so much the others...

Cool site (yes silly pun intended, sorry).
One better... than the cool site.. how about a cooler toy?

Featuring a 2.5” hard disk dock, three USB 2.0 ports, and an 80mm fan, this cooler proves to be a versatile home solution.
You can add a SSD with games or whatever to it and plug it in.. thats nice.. as well it is a laptop cooler not a desk top cooler that transforms into a 3 story Barbie play house.
So I give points for being able to use the cooler while on our lap for one.. and the extra SSD / HDD for storage....
Be well all, JW
