    Does your laptop have the same configuration? You are going to need an independent graphics card to do much coding or gaming. I'm sorry but you can't upgrade the graphics card on this laptop. I think you may have to buy another laptop IF this is your configuration.

    Dude, are you doing heavy game programming or are you just in school for programming? If your only doing game programming in school, then I highly doubt your going to get into anything that is going to max your machine out. I do game programming, and my laptop is fine. I can even run games such as Warrock and WoW which are very much on the same level as what you would be doing in school if not higher. I would suggest upgrading slightly though if you want to take game programming seriously. I just recently purchase a Toshiba A205-S5804 with the new X3100 on board video card and I dont have any problems. I would suggest this model and you can find it starting at 400 dollars now. My one recommendation would be to get windows vista off of it as it is a resource monger
