We can get both of these for very cheap from a supplier

    Hitachi GST Travelstar 7K320 HTS723232L9A360

    Newegg.com - Hitachi GST Travelstar 7K320 HTS723232L9A360 (0A57547) 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

    or

    Western Digital Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT

Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Black WD2500BEKT 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

The Scorpio is a recertified drive with a November 2012 date.

Speed they don't care about. They want a reliable drive.

Hitachi will get my vote for more reliable (and it is the faster drive too).

Re-certified drives... no, not worth it (I've seen hundreds fail and most within the year (while they're warrantied for 30 days...).
