so basically my Lite-On PA-1121-04 AC power adapter just failed and won't work. So I need a new one. Is getting the same exact model my only choice? Or are there other models that will work for my laptop? My laptop is a CyberPower (a rebranded MSI MS-163A (GX600))

Reason I ask is because I don't want to buy another one and have it fail after 2 years of use like this one (ie. maybe there are better adapters I could buy)

Maybe you should just get a universal adapter?

well I'm asking because I want to know if getting the same model is my only choice (like how would I know if a different laptop charger would work on my laptop?)

Most should work, just make sure it has the same voltage and current.
Also make sure the pinout it the same (+ and -).
