    so i have read that ATi has released its mobile chip to compete with the Nvidia Geforce Go6800. But they say this new radeon is based on an X600 Pro core, and only has 12 pipelines, less than the GF. Yet it performs better in some areas. I dont get it, which one is better?

    Judge for yourself by those benchmarks.

    * Inspiron 8600c * 1.8ghz Pentium M * 128 MB Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo * 2x512 MB DDR2700 SDRAM * 60GB 7200RPM HDD *

    This is M28 right?

    Anyways, here's another mini benchmark of the MRX800. It's identical to the part they tested a few weeks ago.

    Bottom line is that ATI barely beats the competition, but on the flipside, it won't be out for at least another 2-3 weeks.

    --------------------
    Compaq Presario 2800T
    Pentium 4-M 1.6 GHz - 15" UXGA
    512 MB RAM - 40 GB (5400 rpm)
    ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 64 MB
