Just returned to UK from a few days in New York where I picked up an Acer 5610Z notebook. Seems a great machine at first look at $779 plus tax. Was assured when buying (from CompUSA) that it was dual voltage (UK is 240v) but there is nothing in the instructions/pack to indicate that that is the case. The transformer does say Input 100-240v at1.5A and the power cord states 7A and 125V. Am I safe to proceed do you think? Thanks for any replies.

And UK electricity is 230-240V, so no problem provide the mains plug fits the UK socket.

All (as far as I know) notebook PSUs are multi-voltage - it saves the manufacturers from the hassle of having to make different ones for different countries.
