what is BMF video cards?
-
yeah im lost as well...bmf?

You know what the BFG guns stands for in Doom3. Well, Dell has a similar code name for their new super powerful graphic
cards. BMF=Big Mean ****ers. This is true. I heard it from a Dell employee.

ugh, cheese marking scham
also, BFG = big F****** gun OR the Blast Field Gun, or Big Fun gun
i wonder how dell will pull this non vulgar version off
Big Mean Friends?
lol
anyway, it's not like as if BMF vid cards will be better then anything in a clevo or alienware or any notebook boutique cards... -
Well, DirectX 10 mobile cards are due around the same time Vista comes out, on the 30th of January 2007. Nvidia apparently has already shipped dx10 desktop cards and their mobile equivalents are soon to come, probably in the form of the 8800GTX. So far, they only have the 7950GTX as their BMF card.
EDIT: Actually, in regard to hmmmmm's post, Dell releases their BMF cards way before everyone else because of their close relationship with Nvidia, then Alienware because they are a sub-branch of Dell, then everyone else. Really, the Dell card is just as good, AND they get it first in one of their XPS series. I hope the XPS m1710 get's revamped like the XPS Gen2 after the new technologies come out. -
i never said dell cards aren't good
but what warrants them calling their vid cards BMF? it's not like other companies won't eventually get any card they get.
unless the BMF is OCed from stock settings, i don' see any reason for calling BMF except as a marketing scheme
does dell actually label the 7950gtx as "BMF" card? cause this is the first i've heard of it
oh yea, thanks for clearing that up, i had no idea nvidia and dell were tight -
Well, I never suggested that you suggested that Dell cards were bad lol. I think Dell calls it their BMF cards, well because they're B and M. These cards are absolutely awesome. Dell and Nvidia were tight, because there aren't many companies with 7950GTXs in their notebooks, not even alienware. The most alienware can offer here in Australia is 7900GS in SLi.
EDIT: I think also, that BMF is used as some form of 'nickname' because the card is so powerful. You don't see BMF anywhere on their site, not that I recall at least. I wouldn't call it a marketing scam, just a nickname for a fairly priced, expensive all powerful card which Dell get access to first. -
they are hardly dells cards, dell doesn't produce any hardware at all do they?
